Living in a small southern town everyone is always talking about everyone else and it can get really annoying. Especially when they starting talking about you personally. I recently began dating a black guy and I am white. It's not a new thing for me. i have always found my self more attracted to black guys than to white guys. Not saying anything about white guys. I have dated white guys and found them to be very fun to hang with but when it comes to attraction, I find myself drawn to black men.
People say it 'runs in my family' because I have a cousin who is also married to a black guy. An attraction to a black man isn't a disease or a condition passed down from one generation to the next. It is a matter of the heart. It's a personal choice. When I began dating five years ago I didn't set out to be more interested in black men. It happened. i would have happened even if my cousin had never laid eyes on a black man.
All that being said these are some of the reasons I prefer black men.
1.)CONFIDENCE-I have never seen a black man who wasn't confident. They exude confidence whether they are on television or in real life. They are sexy and they know it.
2.)SENSE OF HUMOR-The funniest comedians on earth, in my opinion, are black. Jamie Foxx, come on you can't get any funnier than him. D.L. Hughley and who could forget Will Smith. Three of the funniest guys ever. Though I will have to give props to Larry The Cable Guy and all the rest of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Those guys are funny, but there is something about Jamie Foxx. He's got it all.And one of the funniest shows ever is Tyler Perry's House Of Payne. As a matter of fact anything that Tyler Perry has anything to do with is good.
3.)THEY ARE GOOD AT EVERYTHING-The best singers, the best actors and the best athletes are all black. I know that is not necessarily what attracts me to them but it is true.
Also among the list are their lips. I know it seems a little shallow, but you have got to love those lips. So think and sensuous. For example NE-YO what female wouldn't want to kiss him? I was reading a blog post earlier where a woman was telling why she preferred black men (which is what inspired my post)and she was talking about how their skin is like velvet and satin. Which I totally agree with. Another thing is how they can make you feel. A black man can make a woman feel beautiful like a white man cannot.
These are only a few of the things that make black men so irresistible to me. I realize that not everyone feels the same way as me and even that some people completely shun interracial relationships all together but it is a way of life. And something that is becoming more acceptable all the time. I recently read a statistic say that there was a 30% increase in interracial relationships in the past 5 years. Out of those 2 out of 3 were white women and black men.
Yet another thing that has me "fired-up" is I was recently watching an episode of "My Two Cent's" on BETJ and they were discussing interracial relationships with 3 black women. One of the women was saying about how when a black man and a black woman were in a relationship after a while the guy would cheat and when he did it was with a white woman. Because in her words, "white women will do things in bed a black woman won't do" She went on to say that while white women are praised for that, if a black woman did the same things, she'd be labeled a 'ho' I can't even count the number of times I've been called a 'ho'
The point of all this is to say that interracial relationships are ok and are very common. They are becoming more common everyday. Like NE-YO said in one of his blog postings, "Our President is black, it's time for a change."
I plan on in the near future to post some interracial relationship statics. This is something I am very passionate about so plan on seeing additional posts on a regular basis.
